Overview
The ECE program is designed to enhance capacity to create inclusive learning environments and to work with younger children aligned with the principles outlined in the BC Early Learning Framework and the Early Childhood Educators of BC Code of Ethics. Emphasis is placed on recognizing the new realities of toddlers, infants and children with diverse abilities and needs, families, and communities such as Francophone and Indigenous. A variety of theory courses and practicum experiences will be offered to enable students to develop the further knowledge and an adequate understanding of professional practice. This program is approved by the ECE Registry and the Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU) of the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills.
